Stitching Impasse
I haven’t done much stitching over the weekend as we had to go home to my hubby’s hometown to visit the folks and spend quality time with our Canadian niece and nephew.  I had lots of fun and saying goodbye was hard, but we shall be going back in a forthnight so I’m not too homesick. =) As to my WIPs, they remain WIPs. LOL. However, things will change in a day or two as I have...

Post Office Dilemma
It’s been six weeks since my World of Cross Stitching magazine order has been shipped and up until today I haven’t received it in the mail.  I’m not sure whether the heavy rains had something to do with its delay or what, but I’m getting pissed.  Sigh.  What to do now?  CSR of the magazine said I just need to wait for it but over a month already????  I think I really have...

Cross Stitch Materials Needed
I wonder where I can get a hold of several cross stitch materials I need for my Stitch-A-Storm Holiday 2011 challenge.  Yeah, you got it.  Another challenge for me.  What I really need to buy (since I don’t have a sewing machine yet and well, I don’t think I can sew that much when I’m about to change residences, God willing) are: 1. medium-sized pouch bags made in cotton or...

Angely's Online Store
My friend Angely has ventured into an online crafts store at Etsy.  I’m so happy for her because I know that she really loves crafting, and stitching, and sewing.  So, I hope you all get the chance of visiting her online store called Purple Needle Flies. To Angely, may this new venture bring you lots of joy and satisfaction along the way. A great stitching Friday to everyone!

My newest charts!
I was able to visit a DMC store yesterday and get the threads I need for one of my July projects.  I so love the colors!  They’re all so vibrant and without seeing the finished project yet, I can already say that it will look as yummy as the real ones.  Hehe.  Here’s some of the threads for my ‘Cherry Cupcakes’ project (don’t they just look so vibrant and...

kathleenxx asked: Question though: how exactly did you catalog all your thread? I.. really need to do that.

Done with Cataloging!
Alas!  I finished cataloging all the threads I have lying around our room.  I was amazed at how many I already have in my possession, so far.  And true to what I predicted I have skeins of the same thread codes duplicating each other.  Tsk tsk.  Talk about waste of money.  Anyway, I am sure that on my next project I won’t have a problem taking stock of the materials I would be needing...

Getting There at Last!
After an hour of stitching tonight, the outline of the car has started to unfold.  A few more hours then perhaps I will be done with this project.  =) Great stitching to everyone!

"Common Cross Stitch Terms" →
To be good at something, you must learn to understand it.  One of the basics of cross stitching is to familiarize oneself with the terms commonly associated with the craft.  And so I find it worth sharing for all of us who needs a brush up on cross stitch terms. =)

Stitching Projects: July 2011
Here’s my list of projects for this month of July.  I’m only starting with three to make it more practical for me as I only have a couple of hours free every week to focus on stitching.  Excuses, excuses, excuses, you might say.  I know.  But my to-do list has to be within reach lest I get too pressured and the enjoyment will disappear.  Besides, I still have two WIPs.  =) 1....

My First Cross Stitch Magazine
I have just received my first cross stitch magazine, the CrossSticher Issue 239 in the mail today and what a feeling!  I’m so giddy to browse it right this minute but I will postpone until I reach home tonight to savor each pages.  OMG!  Hehehe…. A great stitching day to everyone!

Getting back to my Stitching
The past weekend have been pure chaos for me.  A lot of errands have to be accomplished that I neglected stitching.  So for today I’m going back to my WIPs (either one of the two) and try to put in a couple of hours.  Besides, I need the solitude of stitching whilst thinking thoughts for the future.  A great stitching day to all!

Switching between Projects
I have posted two of my WIPs and honestly I want to get them done as soon as possible.  But due to time constraints I only get to stitch when I’m not too over fatigued from working 12-hour days five times a week.  So, perhaps you’re now thinking that I’m a serial beginner like I said in my previous entry; however, I assure you I’m not.  The reason why I have two WIPs is...

Essence of a To-Do List
I have always been a type A personality type bordering on being OC at times.  I like it when things are at its proper place and time.  I get irritated when I get disrupted or my things get disorderly.  I know people who know me sometimes get annoyed by this attitude of mine.  But in crafting especially cross stitching, the kind of person that I am somehow makes me a better crafter. For instance,...
