Crafts and I

This page is dedicated to the hobbyist in me. I will be sharing my love of crafts specifically embroidery, sewing, and others that I will encounter, with everybody.

Pictures posted will be from my own adventures and learnings as well as from search engines and other blogs that I found worth sharing too (with links from where I got it from, of course).

Hope you enjoy browsing! =)

It’s been six weeks since my World of Cross Stitching magazine order has been shipped and up until today I haven’t received it in the mail.  I’m not sure whether the heavy rains had something to do with its delay or what, but I’m getting pissed.  Sigh.  What to do now?  CSR of the magazine said I just need to wait for it but over a month already????  I think I really have to take matters into my own hands come Monday and personally check with our city’s postal office what the problem might be.  Tsk tsk tsk.  I really hate bureaucracy in times like this.

Anyway, on to some lighthearted news.  I saw a new crafts store at SM Megamall where I do most of my shopping for stitching materials.  It’s still on its first couple of weeks so don’t expect to find everything yet.  The store is called the Hobby Station and it sells cross stitch kits, card frames, puzzles, cross stitch patterns and the like.  I hope it gets to sell threads and other what-nots in no time at all. The store is located at the ground floor of building A. =)

I just had to share to you what I got.  In no time at all, I can finish up some of the card designs I started.  Yay!

A great stitching weekend to everyone!

My newest Joan Elliott book. I wonder when I can stitch some of the patterns inside. *wink

A step-by-step guide on how to create your very own biscornu.

I wonder where I can get a hold of several cross stitch materials I need for my Stitch-A-Storm Holiday 2011 challenge.  Yeah, you got it.  Another challenge for me.

What I really need to buy (since I don’t have a sewing machine yet and well, I don’t think I can sew that much when I’m about to change residences, God willing) are:

1. medium-sized pouch bags made in cotton or katsa in plain pastel colors;

2. ready-made aperture cards for my cross stitch designs for cards; and

3. Ikea-like shelves for my cross stitch stuff.

Oh, well, I think I’ll just have to make time to scout around the nearest market or try my luck material-hunting in Divisoria.

A great stitching weekend to everyone!
